Harsh on Gareth Bale. Start from last April when he scored winning goals agaisnt Arsenal and Chelsea with in a week. 4 assists in one game against Young Boys. That volley against Stoke (and another goal in the game). Both games against Inter he was brilliant. Got injured in January and hasn’t quite been the same since. Had 7 league goals (plus another 4 in the CL) by new year.
He’s a brilliant footballer. Not the second best in the world, but at the moment the best winger in England.
Also, re: Michael Dawson, what was he doing for the second Adebayor goal?

I’ve said all season, Bale is a good footballer, he’s not brilliant. He needs to work on quite a lot of his game still. Don’t think he has the ability to beat players with skill rather than pace. If you don’t give him a yard start he is largely uneffective.

It’s mostly the Bale hype train that annoys me, nothing against him as a player really.

Thanks for listening and commenting Jack :)
