Partick Thistle (4-2-3-1) v Celtic (4-5-1) -

Partick Thistle vs Celtic
Competition: Scottish Premiership
Venue: Firhill Stadium
Date: Saturday; March 12; 2016
Kick off: 12:30 GMT
Referee: Stephen Finnie

Partick Thistle host Celtic at Firhill Stadium in the SPFL Ladbrokes Premiership this weekend. The Hoops have won both meetings the sides have contested so far this season, but are still nervously looking over their shoulder this season and cannot afford to drop any points against Alan Archibald’s man.

Ronny Deila’s side have collected a points total of 63 thanks to a record of 19 wins, six draws and three defeats. They lead Aberdeen by just one point, although they do have a game in hand.

Celtic’s recent form has not been the best with back-to-back draws against Hamilton Academical and Dundee United, anything less than a win on Saturday will give Aberdeen the opportunity to go top later in the day when they host Kilmarnock.

Partick lost three of their last five matches, sitting on eighth position of the table and need a good result to help ease any relegation worries.

Gibfootballshow is a football website founded by myself…Andrew Gibney. The site started in October 2009 to a very small audience, then during the 2010 World Cup and the great twitter boom of 2010 things started to pick up pace. There is no real agenda to the site, would like to think it covers a wide range of subject and talking points
