According to the Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United are among five European giants who could make a shock move for Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin. The La Masia youth product burst onto the scene last season as a replacement for the injured Mathieu Debuchy, and he displayed such good form he maintained his position in the team this year. Bayern Munich and Barcelona see the 21-year-old as a potential replacement for veteran defenders Philipp Lahm and Dani Alves respectively. The Spaniard who played at every international age level, has made 36 appearances for the Gunners this season and assisted seven times.

  • Manchester United already have several quality defenders on right-back – Matteo Darmian and Guillermo Varela, also Phil Jones and Antonio Valencia are able to play on that position, and it seems less likely the Reds to focus on Bellerin’s transfer, who certainly won’t come cheap.
  • It strongly believed that Arsene Wenger won’t sell his starlet, who is noted for his incredible pace. Moreover, he completed 46 take-ons and created 19 chances in the Premier League, according to Squawka, and also improved defensively, made 38 tackles, 51 interceptions and 90 clearances this season as well won 30 aerial duels.
  • Interest from other clubs also seems to be realistic, but Hector insisted that his future is at Arsenal despite talk of Barcelona and Bayern Munich interest, as he is happy at the Emirates after signing a new contract.

Considering these facts, Gib Football Show concludes that the rumours claiming ‘Manchester United Prepare Stunning Bid for Speedster To shock Arsenal’ are ‘mostly false’.mostly falce

Gibfootballshow is a football website founded by myself…Andrew Gibney. The site started in October 2009 to a very small audience, then during the 2010 World Cup and the great twitter boom of 2010 things started to pick up pace. There is no real agenda to the site, would like to think it covers a wide range of subject and talking points
