According to the Italian website Corriere Dello Sport, Chelsea are considering the £13.7m summer move to secure the services of Inter Milan attacker Ivan Perisic. The report suggests that the Blues future manager Antonio Conte is a big admirer of the Croatian international and considers him as a possible replacement of under-fire star Eden Hazard, who could leave the Stamford Bridge during upcoming transfer window. Perisic is proving to be the thorn in the opposition’s side this season due to his improved fitness, causing an excellent run of form to aid the club’s late push for a Champions League spot.
- It’s not a news that Hazard is struggling this term, but the rest of Chelsea players don’t have the best time in the career as well. Hazard has proved that he’s a world-class attacker and here can’t any doubt despite of scoring just twice this season. So the rumours about his possible departure could be considered as another big transfer speculation.
- Also Eden has cooled link with European rival and admitted his priority is repaying Chelsea for the faith they have shown him during his poor spell of form.
- It seems unlikely the Blues to splash £13.7m for 27-year-old player, who scored just six goals in his 27 Seire A appearances.
- The former Borussia Dortmund man is excellent in winning aerial duels, is able to play at any position in the front line and also has enough experience in Bundesliga, Serie A and international level, but he certainly not as creative, explosive and sharp as the Belgian star.
Considering these facts, Gib Football Show concludes that the rumours claiming ‘Chelsea Preparing Shock £13.7m Move for Hazard’s Replacement’ are ‘mostly false’.
