According to the Mirror, top Premier League clubs like Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are all interested in signing the Ukrainian international, £25million-rated Andriy Yarmolenko. The report also suggests that the Manchester City are the latest big-name club to join the race for Dynamo Kiyv star. The 26-year-old has made 29 appearances for Ukraine giants this season and has had a hand in 25 goals. Yarmolenko, who scored the only goal of Ukraine’s friendly win over Wales last week, has even been advised by his national boss Mykhaylo Fomenko to head for the Premier League this summer.

  • The winger quoted as saying by The Sun: “I cannot reveal many details but yes, I intend to move to England this year.”
  • Yarmolenko also admitted he would rather play for Blues than sit on Barcelona’s bench and that comment appeared to be “pleasing” for Everton boss Roberto Martinez.
  • West ham United have signed Dimitri Payet, while Stoke City have managed to lure both Bojan and Xherdan Shaqiri to the Premier League without the offer of Champions League football and Everton now have the opportunity to do the same.
  • The investment of Iranian billionaire Farhad Moshiri has opened the possibility of the Blues spending big this summer to bolster the squad and the reported fee of £25million clearly won’t be a big issue for the Goodison Park club.

Considering these facts, Gib Football Show concludes that the rumours claiming ‘Everton to shock rivals Liverpool and Arsenal with £25m summer swoop’ are ‘mostly true’. Mostly true

Gibfootballshow is a football website founded by myself…Andrew Gibney. The site started in October 2009 to a very small audience, then during the 2010 World Cup and the great twitter boom of 2010 things started to pick up pace. There is no real agenda to the site, would like to think it covers a wide range of subject and talking points
