According to the Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a summer transfer swoop on Ajax for forward Anwar El Ghazi. Reportedly, Mauricio Pochettino is a big admirer of the winger and has had his scouts tracking the 20-year-old all season and could sanction a move for the player once Champions League football has been secured. El Ghazi has been heavily linked with Chelsea and Liverpool, while Serie A giants AC Milan also express interest in him. The tricky dribbler has been a consistent figure in Frank de Boer’s side for two seasons now, having made 23 Eredivisie appearances so far this term and the Dutch club value El Ghazi at £12million.

  • Standing at 1.88 metres, El Ghazi is definitely an aerial threat, winning 24 headed duels this season, something that could be very useful at Premier League.
  • He is a good crosser of the ball, often delivering low driven crosses into the box, earning him two assists so far this season with such deliveries and a total exceeding 293 successful passes overall. Also due to his pace, technique and scoring (11 goals this season) could ideally fit in Pochettino’s 4-2-3-1 fast paced and offensive-minded style.
  • Spurs will have an advantage to sign  El Ghazi, as none of interested sides AC Milan, Liverpool and Chelsea can offer him a Champions League football. While Poch needs to add some depth in his squad to battle for more titles next season and the Dutch international could be an excellent addition.

The site started in October 2009 to a very small audience, then during the 2010 World Cup and the great twitter boom of 2010 things started to pick up pace. There is no real agenda to the site, would like to think it covers a wide range of subject and talking points
