I think in my mind the decision was made quite a while ago, however it’s one thing to think about something and another thing to actually take action. Ah ok, I suppose I better let you know what I’m talking about.

Sunday night saw the end of the 2010/11 season in Ligue 1 and Andrew and Chris have recorded their last regular podcast of the season to discuss all the thrills and spills of the final days action.

After rounding up all the best action from Week 38 in Ligue 1 they then discuss some of the comings and going from the league. A look at who will be joining the league from Ligue 2 and doff a cap toward Les Bleus three international matches next week.

On this week’s podcast we picked our goals of the season, the one and only Brent Atema describes our choices.

Eran Zehavi earned a special place in the hearts of football fans with this amazing overhead goal against Lyon in a December Champions League match. Not only did this goal help Hapoel Tel-Aviv earn a spot in the Europa League, it earned the Goal Of The Year nomination from Brazilian football expert Jack Lang.  While Jack admits to knowing nothing about Zehavi, he will always think of this goal whenever he hears that name mentioned.

This time last year my site didn’t really exist apart from between my friends and I. 12 months on I would say it’s a little more successful. The podcast is going well and myself and the team have some big plans for next season and I hope that it can grow and grow.

You may have noticed that most of my time now is spent watching Ligue 1. I try to watch four games each weekend so that’s me having a look at nearly half the league every week. To me that is enough to have a good idea what I’m talking about – this leads onto podcast #2 French Football Weekly. Really enjoy doing that it’s my chance to do the talking and airing my opinions as sometimes on GFS I don’t get the chance.
